The intended outcomes for the end-user computing environ- ment haven't changed since the earliest mainframe days, but the methods by which those outcomes are achieved has evolved. Organizations still expect users to interact with enterprise applications using the EUC environment, but that environment looks vastly different than it used to. There are myriad methods by which you can achieve your end-user computing goals. » No two environments are alike. As you're considering your needs and taking stock of your costs, make sure that you run a pilot program before you fully commit to a solution.
