In this chapter, I introduce you to all the components that make Docker work. There is far more detail inherent in Docker than I'm able to cover in this book, so I'm just covering the big stuff here. Understanding Docker Container Constructs There are a bunch of different components to Docker that you need to understand in order to really put the software through its paces. I'll start with a look at the high-level constructs and tell you what each one is and what it does.
