Maturity refers not only to the number of years the
CSP has been operating, but also to how long it has
offered each of its services. Broadly speaking, the
more migrations a CSP has performed, the better.
That experience informs its ability to advise you on
whether, how and when to migrate, as well as which
applications and functions should be migrated. Lay
out your challenges, and see if the CSP has "been
there, done that."
A mature CSP is also likely to have a strong
relationship with the company offering the cloud
platform. This is particularly important for small and
medium-size businesses that might find it difficult
to get direct access when needed. If your CSP has
"OneNeck IT Solu ons always kept our best interests in mind. They helped us find
solu ons that would support our already exis ng infrastructure, then went the extra
mile to offer solu ons that we never even thought to plan into our IT strategy."

a good working relationship with the Microsoft
Azure group, for example, you can benefit from their
access to information and expertise at the source.
Advice built on knowledge and experience can
be advantageous in many ways. For example,
we drew on our years of experience to help one
company that was dissatisfied with its current
cloud implementation, finding it ineffective and
expensive. The company was about to hastily jump
to another implementation. However, we provided
an analysis that identified and explained the causes
of the problems in the current implementation.
Moving to another implementation would not
solve those problems. Instead, we devised a cloud
implementation that addressed those issues.
